It's been super hot in NYC and dd is always sweating. We usually don't put shoes or socks on her and I feel a little weird not doing so.
Just wondering if you always cover LO's feet when you're out and about.

I don't for the same reasons. She sweats easily just like DH so it's just easier to not wear shoes most of the time. Plus, she HATES them

Now that she's walking; always. When she wasn't walking I hardly ever put shoes on her bc she didn't have any!

Before LO started walking he was always barefoot in the warmer months. Once he started walking he wore shoes outside the house

From 0-9 months, no!! Now at 10.5 months I usually put sandals on her.

My daughter didn't even own shoes until she was a toddler. Now she usually wears them, because it's better than walking over the sharp ground, and because she's too old to go into stores and stuff barefoot. But before she was walking, forget about it. Socks for warmth only. I always cringe a little when I see shoes on tiny babies - what's the point?

He walks/runs everywhere - so yes. But he wasn't wearing shoes consistently until about 9 months. He did a little before then only because it was winter so I had a pair of fuzzy baby moccs that he wore. But last summer when he was 4-6 months? Nah - he was always barefoot or in socks.

I put shoes on him when he started walking, however, he takes them off lol. I've lost so many because he will just wing them every chance he gets.

Not always. I try to make sure I always have a pair handy incase she wants to get out of her stroller.

LO is 8 months and we never really put shoes on her, especially now that its summer. she doesn't walk yet so there is no point really- plus i feel like she is more comfortable without shoes/socks!

He's almost 9 months and he never wears shoes or sock anymore...like you said, NYC is hot and steamy now and I just don't see the point since he's not walking or cruising yet.

Once she started walking she was always in shoes while out, but before then, almost never!
