Yes. And he thinks all dogs are "Mack." Though it's usually "Mack, sit!"

DD still calls dogs "mung mung," but she calls my dog (in CA) by his name now. It's cute.

DS calls both dogs Kenji, our male dogs name. For some reason Ginger is so much harder to say He knows which one is which if we ask him.

She can't really say it. Her name is lizzie, but she calls her izzy. Which is her cousins name, makes it very confusing.
We thought about changing the dogs name (we just recently adopted her) but I don't think its a long term issue and the dog already answered to her name.

@BananaPancakes: my lo is always saying, "izzy, no!" Makes me feel bad because I know she got it from us and I swear we don't just tell her no, we say a lot of good girl too. But of course she doesn't pick that up.

@artbee: Eh, I think toddlers just like to be bossy, so they've picked up commands before things like "good dog." I think it's funny because our dog just ignores him and knocks him over when he's getting too pushy. They have a love hate relationship.

Yes. She used to refer to both outside dogs as "Nala" (the older lab's name), but she now says "Artemis," "Nala," and "Freckles." She's been saying Nala and Freckles for a long time, but Artemis only for the past month or so. I love all the cute toddler/pet stories.

@BananaPancakes: My dog usually listens to my LO! It's weird because she'll say, "lay down!" and I can barely understand what she's saying but the dog seems to get it. They also have a love/hate relationship. But our dog is new, she was used to our old dog and loved him so much. I think it'll change over time.

He tries to call them by name. He LOVES them. We have given B the "chore" of giving the dogs a bone after a walk, he loves it.

DD calls our dog "Gee gee" which is her version of "Griffin"; I have to know the context because it sounds very similar to what she calls our sitter's daughter whose name is Gracie. She call our cat "Cat" although his name is Tag, but that is likely because DH calls him cat as well.
