My LO 2 is lactose intolerant so it is hard for me to find organic lactose free whole milk in stores near us. She drinks mostly store brand (Stater Bros or Target) and I'll buy the organic when I see it available at Sprouts.

We drink organic but don't have a lactose intolerance to deal with. Truth be told, my girls only use it on their cereal.

We all drink the Costco organic 2% and DS also drinks Silk Almond!

DH and I don't drink milk and LO drinks a lot of it, so yes we splurge on organic. I feel like if he's going to be putting that much of it into his body, it should be good for him.

DS drinks a ton of milk and we do buy organic. Usually the Horizon or Stoneyfield brand, depending on which one is cheaper.

sometimes, but usually not. i think some organic milk companies take it too far (because they have to in order to maintain the "organic" label) and let the cows suffer from things like mastitis (and sometimes die from this easily treatable infection). we try to focus more on buying from milk sourced from family and/or local farms.

I actually just did a ton of reading up on organic and not, because the difference was $1.99/gallon versus $5.99/gallon and have recently switched to non-organic milk, as long as the non-organic is hormone free

FYI Trader Joe's organic is much cheaper than regular grocery at least in our area. LO drinks whole organic and we just use that since we only use it for cereal.

Yes. I buy the Kroger Organic brand and it's not that much more expensive. I rarely drink milk and DH doesn't at all, so we only go through 1 gallon a week.

I just saw organic non-lactose milk at my whole foods for the first time today. I believe it was Organic Valley brand. My fam does lactose but it just caught my eye for some reason!

Nope. We did when I was mixing BM with WCM since organic lasted longer than regular milk and it had DHA. Once he was on 100% WCM, we bought the cheapest gallon they had. We go through 2 gallons a week easily.

Nope - I started off buying organic milk for him, then we had a tough few months and I realised it was literally double the price of normal milk.

Almost always. She doesn't drink a ton of it so I like that the organic lasts longer, in addition to being organic. But tbh I have done almost no research on it! And she eats regular cheese every day.

@autumnlove: Have you tried Fairlife milk? It's not organic but rBST free. It is ultrafiltered, so has a longer shelf life like organic. The filtering process also makes it naturally lower in sugar and higher in protein and calcium compared to regular milk. It is also lactose-free!
We have been getting either Fairlife or organic.

I don't belive our milk is certified organic, but it's "all natural" glass bottled milk from a local farm that's been around since 1720!

Nope, just regular whole milk. Occasionally I'll splurge on milk from a small local farm I used to do work with, but it's just not worth it to me most of the time. Knowing where our milk comes from either way (since I do work with the large regional dairy too), it doesn't worry me drinking regular whole milk.

Yes, always organic. I'm not one of those people that believes in organic everything necessarily, but my LO is a milkaholic so with as much as she drinks, I just go ahead and do the organic.

There are very few options for organic milk where I live so we don't buy it. Plus the cost of non organic is $6 gallon so I'm not sure it would be affordable for us to switch to organic.

Just bought it for the first time this weekend! DS is the only milk drinker and it is $2.99 for regular and $4.99 for organic so i figured we would try it out.

@Mamaof2: Yep! That's what prompted me to switch. The store was out of organic for probably a month and a half, so i was buying regular, anyways, then i wondered "well, is it really worth it?", did a ton of research, and concluded that, no, it wasn't.

She drinks organic kefir and organic almond milk, but the only time she really drinks regular milk is when it comes with her kids meal at Chipotle (it's Horizon Organic).
