My LOs understand that their grandparents are our parents but they are very confused about their uncles being our siblings . They just can't comprehend that we have siblings too!

Ha, we just started talking about this! Who is mama's mama? Who is papa's sister? She gets it right like 59% of the time. Ha.

Nope. My almost-4-year-old gets so confused by this. It is hilarious though.

She's pretty good with it. She plays family with her stuffed animals and they are all grandma, great grandma, mommy, sister, auntie.....no males though. Haha.

The direct relationships he seems to understand, but things like cousins he doesn't know why he's related to them, lol.

@looch: yeah, my LO tells everyone that she is getting a new cousin soon but she follows up with what is a cousin? I can't remember!

Haha I don't think my LOs understand any of this yet! Though now that I think about they do understand that their uncles are mommys and daddys brothers like they are brothers recently.
