Lala can remember things from 1.5 to 2 years ago with startling clarity and explain each detail of the situation... so I'd say she has a pretty good memory.
Oh I should add that she also remembers where I left sister's binky and stuff like that. Also very handy!

@banana: I don't know about that, but laying down memory is correlated with speech and language development and hers was pretty advanced, so I think that was the driver.

@Mrs. Jacks: Interesting. My son has a really good rote memory (according to assessments) but his speech and language is delayed. I guess rote memory isn't associated with speech/language?
