My LO has a baby stroller and shopping cart that she stands and pushes but not a traditional walker. I am thinking about borrowing a Chicco walker so she can explore the house...we have a one story home with mostly carpet with no stairs.

The walkers that they sit in are actually not recommended anymore. They have been deemed unsafe and they can cause them to develop the wrong muscles and delay actual walking.

Our daughter also has one of the push walkers. We stayed away from the old-school traditional sit-in walkers for the same reasons that @zippylef mentioned

LO had the alligator one from Mellisa and Doug. He's been walking for a year now and still loves pushing that thing around! It's similar in shape as the one @Mrs. Pen: posted (love that one btw!).

We also had the alligator one from Melissa and Doug, but it was more of an outdoor toy once he was already walking.

@anbanan15: @Mrs. Yoyo: we got that for Christmas! It's so cute, but LO isn't even close to using it yet (she's 7 mos and not crawling). I can't wait for her to push it around!

I like the walkers that they can also sit on. Makes for a good double use toy. fter she started walking she wanted to climb on everything.
