DH's skin is really sensitive. He's had debilitating eczema for a few years but has had it generally his whole life so I really hope none of our babies have to suffer that much. DD's skin is a little in the sensitive side (she's prone to rashes) but in general it's manageable.

My husband has problematic skin somewhat like @mrsrugbee. My kids both inherited his skin -- my son has KP on his face and my daughter has eczema.

It's early to judge about their builds, but we always joked that if our daughter got his family's big back/shoulders and my family's big hips and thighs, she'd be linebacker material. Here's hoping that doesn't happen. So far she's a beanpole.

DD has DH's cleft chin. I think it's adorable on both of them, but I hope she never gets teased for it when she's older.

My son has my husband's family's double chin. Even right when he was born and skinny he had it. I can't think of any other traits that are too crazy bad. Well maybe my feet. My arches are too high so every shoe hurts.

It's too early to tell yet, but I pray my kids don't have my skin and that my daughter doesn't have my PCOS.

While we were still in the hospital after DD was born I was struggling with BFing because of my inverted nipple. DH asked a doctor at our discharge appointment about LO's inverted nipples (totally normal for baby). I thought it was super sweet that he was already worried about pain for her so far in the future.

I did not want LO to get DH's giant head but she did (and I survived childbirth). He didn't want her to have red hair & associated traits (extremely fair, super sensitive skin, requires extra anesthesia, etc). She got it and it is gorgeous. I hope she doesn't have my large feet.

I hope me LOs don't get my anxiety issues.

@looch: same here!! I'm hoping they don't get either of our vision (my BIL has 20/20 vision, fingers crossed), Wagon Sr.'s teeth, or my nose. (I have my dad's family's nose, which is wide and flat, but my mom pinched my nose continually when I was a baby to shape it.)

DH had a huge head as a baby , so obviously I'm hoping LO doesn't get that!

DH is half Asian, so I'm hoping LO leans more towards him ethnicity wise. I hope he also gets DH's smarts.

I hope he doesn't get DH's flat feet, bad skin, my laziness, my "moly-ness" or my bony heels!

It's way too soon to tell, but... we hope DS doesn't inherit my acne and terrible vision; and DH's flat feet and motion sickness.

DS got DH's dimpled chin. It looks adorable on him now (and DH was an adorable child) but as he got older, DH's chin got more pronounced. It...looks like Peter Griffin's chin on the Family Guy. Meaning it looks oddly scrotal.

DH also has terrible feet - messed up arches, super wide hobbity feet, oddly shaped toenails that are super flat and don't curve which cause lots of problems, plus generally the sweatiest feet on Earth. DS has already gotten the feet, I can tell. They are wide and hobbity and his toenails are already flat and weird, and his feet are constantly just WET. He soaks through his jammy feet at night!

But all that is superficial. DH and I both have bad joints. DH has terrible acid reflux and gout. And dementia and crooked teeth run in his family. I have diabetes, Parkinson's, depression, terribly fragile and cavity-prone teeth, and terrible vision in mine. I would very much hope my son avoids getting these things.

I hope DS inherits my husband's cute little nose instead of my giant knobbly one. It'd be good if he didn't get my oily skin either!

My LO's have DH's flat knees and my huge big toe. Not necessarily bad traits but weird!

DH has awful eyes and has had so many corrective surgeries, including a detached retina. That's the one thing we really don't want LO to inherit. So far he has his daddy's blue eyes but doesn't seem to have any noticeable vision problems.

I hope DD doesn't inherit my huge, high-arched feet so she is not doomed to a life of "comfort shoes" aka ugly shoes. I also hope that our LOs do not inherit the stubby fingers and toes from DH's side nor their height.

I hope she doesn't inherit my bad teeth (years of braces and corrective jaw surgery) or anxiety/depression that runs in my family. I also hope she doesn't have poor vision, although both my husband and I do. She has appeared to inherit my husbands low sleep needs, lol.

@danda: I'm glad to hear that! I can think of someone I know from Jr high who was teased for it. But I guess kids will just pick anything and home in on it.

DS has DH's temper. DD is high maintenance, she has to be held ALL.THE.TIME like me when she was a baby.
