a little too early to tell with A, but I'm definitely glad she's got dh's dimples as well as his happy personality. she very clearly looks more like my side of the family which, with the exception of dh, is a good thing

Cowlicks. I have one in the front, DH has one in the back, and poor LO has them in the front AND the back!
Also, she is probably going to have bad skin when she reaches puberty.

@HLK208: DS got DH's enormous big toes! It was basically the first thing he noticed about DS after delivery haha!
DS has my exact hair which DH was relieved about (DH has stick straight, fine hair; mine is thick and a bit wavy). I was hoping he wouldn't be as fair-skinned as I am but so far he is.

My husband and I both had terrible teeth and years of orthodontia. I'm sure my son will have bad teeth, and I wish I could spare him the pain! I have very bad astigmatism and eyesight, and the paediatrician recommended we start eye tests for our son at 2 instead of 4 because of my history.
Other than that, nothing much! I wish my son had inherited my ability to put on weight merely by looking at food, but unfortunately its an eternal struggle to get him to gain! Much like my husband who can put away a family sized pizza and still have abs in the morning (not bitter at all, over here.)

I hope DD doesn't have my flat feet. This caused so many twisted ankles for me while playing sports. It's totally possible!

LO inherited DH's double cowlick, which gives him some crazy hair. He thankfully seems to have inherited my genes in terms of health - no allergies as yet and not prone to ear infections. DH's family has both.
I really really hope he doesn't inherit my teeth problems. I struggle with terrible gum disease that runs in my family, and have spent thousands on my teeth. DH's teeth/gums are perfect.

DD definitely inherited fine downy body hair from my maternal side of the family
mine & mums came with ovarian cysts so I hope she manages to avoid that side of it.
she inherited a gap in her front teeth from hubby, though that might not be there when her adult teeth come in. She also definitely inherited little brown moles from both of us. I have them all over my body, and hubby has quite a few raised ones ("coco pops" I call them). DD has one teeny mole under her chin, and also one in her actual lip - I used to have one in the center of my bottom lip but over time it faded away.

I pray that my daughter won't inherit my husband's allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. Even though we are already a nut free home, it would be great if she (and I!) didn't have to worry about that for the rest of her life!
I hope she inherits my teeth. My husband needed braces for crazy teeth, but my teeth are crazy straight.
I also hope she doesn't inherit my flat feet. It has led to knee and hip issues, plantar fasciitis, and just general foot discomfort!

I hope she doesn't get my non existent eyebrows and eyelashes or my family's history of borderline personality disorder. On DH's side, I hope's doesn't get his teeth (he now has full veneers) or his asthma and allergies!

We both need glasses, so it would be amazing if she didn't need glasses... but not holding my breath. I have some skin issues, both sensitivity and also a genetic disorder. She does seem to have my sensitivity but so far does not seem to have inherited my disorder.

I hope my DD's don't inherit my bad skin. As a teenager I had horrible acne and it really affected my self image for a long time. I hope they inherit DH's side of the family's legs. They are all really tall and have long legs (as opposed to my "athletic" legs).

M@catlady: my oldest daughter has a big cowlick smack dab in front and it's adorable (right now)... But I promised her on the day she was born that we would always pay for good hair care and stylists for her.

I have really crappy nail beds.
But seriously, this thread is kind of mean girls-y.

I hope my kids get my husbands perfectly clear skin and don't get stuck with my oily acne prone skin. My husband has really flat feet and is pretty hairy so I hope the kids don't get that (especially if it's a girl!).

@dagret: LOL "I have really bad breath in the morning"?
I have toe thumbs, so that's the only thing I wouldn't want a LO to inherit. Honestly though, I'd just like the chance at a bio kid, so even if (s)he had my toe thumbs, that's cool with me!

I hope she doesn't inherit my cavity-prone teeth or my husband's flat feet!
