During our clean-out this weekend, my husband found a bunch of old trucks from when he was a kid. Real steel Tonka trucks. He handed them over and our kiddo was happy as could be. She made a garage for them out of the steps on the slide.

A few. The one that gets the most play is a big collection of Brio from my husband. They also have a wooden truck that was his, a ride-on/push toy of mine that my dad cleaned up for DD2's first birthday, and a couple of stuffed animals that were ours.

Alice was just playing with my Samantha AG doll this morning. That's the only thing they have from me. They have a ton of stuff from DH's childhood because his mom saved everything and she's always trying to pass things along to our house. We'll be in the car ready to go home and she'll be shoving stuffed animals into the backseat like "I think they really enjoyed this zebra today! You better take it with you!" We have plenty of stuffed animals - we don't need any that are 30 years old!

Yes because both my husband and I are packrats about that kind of thing 
She has a few of my stuffed animals, and at some point (when she's old enough) will inherit my My Little Ponies. She has a ton of my husband's Hot Wheels. There are a lot of things I need to get rid of as well.

DH's mom didn't keep any of his momentos from childhood. Recently, he found a bunch of comic books he bought as a kid that he will pass on to our own some day. I'm not opposed to my LO playing with my dolls (one of my mom's linen closets is devoted to them), but I don't know how much interest he will have.

We have my husband's Brio set and a ton of books. Nothing from me, my parents moved when I was 24 and got rid of anything they'd been holding on to. My mom gets upset when she sees friends of hers pull out old toys from their kids to have their grandkids play with. IDK, I'm just not into keeping junk around, I think she was smart!

He has a few stuffed animals that used to be mine, and one that used to be my brother's that I very badly want him to get attached to. My Nana was very crafty and made us all stuffed animals, and my brother had a series of donkeys that he named Donk Donk and loved into literal pieces. Bennett now has Donk Donk 3 so I hope he loves him as much as my brother did.
I'm jealous of all these kids with inherited Brio collections - my son loves trains and I'm just thinking about starting to buy him stuff, it would be great to have a ready-made collection!
(also I'm having internet problems and have typed this 3 times. It's not showing up but if something blips and it suddenly appears over and over, I'm sorry!)

My MIL kept tons of DH's toys. We have a few at our house but most are at her house for them to play with there including a really cool old play kitchen with the food that is made of nice hard plastic. They love it.

Not mine or DH's, but DS is playing with toys that my brother (26) and my younger cousin (who's 22) used to play with! He loves em and the quality is so different/sturdier!

DD has my Lego table and Duplo Legos (when she is old enough). She also has some Beanie Babies. My mom has a bunch of other old toys that will live at Grandma's house.

DH used to collect the mini die cast NASCAR cars from childhood until he was a teenager. We recently opened a box while looking for yard sale stuff to find at least a hundred still in their packaging. They aren't worth anything so we opened up every single one and gave them to T who has a car obsession. Lol!
They're worth more to T than they ever were hiding in that box in the garage.
We also have a lot of books that DH had as a child.

Yes, my in-laws saved many of my DH's toys: FP record player, FP vacuum, various cars and trucks, and books!
