I get it, kids have to use the bathroom a lot but I swear it never fails she has to go at the most inconvenient times. She insists she doesn't have to go before we leave (will even sit and try) but the second I start putting stuff in my cart she has to go! Is my kid the only one who does this? Maybe I should start having her try right before we get situated in the cart.

My kid loves using public restrooms. She wants to go every time we go to the grocery store. And when we eat out she'll go at twice during the meal.

I was so worried about this before potty training but luckily it hasn't been a problem so far. He seems to have good bladder control

Anywhere and everywhere. He would con his way into being in the bathroom every 30 seconds if he could get away with it. We set parameters, like potty after we order dinner and again once we get the bill.
His teacher was cracking up that he conveniently needed to go potty during a lockdown drill at school a couple weeks ago.

Yes!!!!!!!! I tell her she has to hold it most of the time unless I can tell it's a true emergency.

DS isn't too keen on using regular toilets (even with an insert), so he's pretty good at going before we leave and holding it. We try to limit liquid intakes when we know we will be out for a long time. But, he does have those times when he has to go at the worse possible time.
