Same! Night sleep always wakes up happy - naps, wakes up happy 50% of the time (and when he wakes up unhappy I try to get him to nap longer which works about 25% of the time!)

Now that LO goes to daycare and we have to wake her up (as opposed to her waking up on her own), she's too drowsy to be upset. In fact, I think she secretly likes it that the second she opens her eyes, I'm there.

It is probably 50-50 as well. She can be whiney after 12 hours of sleep, which I do not understand.

Never after 17 months. I have given up on it at this time.

As long as she gets to take her time waking up she wakes up happy. I have to wait until she's officially standing up in her crib and I know she's not going to lay down again. It takes awhile.....
