I don't want to keep his door shut but I also don't want my rotten hound dog in there either. Not that he'd hurt LO, he's just sneaky and loves to chew on stuff that isn't his!
I was thinking of putting a gate in the doorway, has anyone else done this? Or do you just shut LO's door?

Yes there is a gate. I didn't want him puking or marking in there. And, he's a messy shedder.

Wow. We just trained our dog he's not allowed in any of the bedrooms. We shut her door at night but he never tries to get in even if its open.
I can't imagine having to step over a baby gate with a newborn to go in and out of her room!

@Thehistoryofus: I have a swing open one, and block it from latching closed with a book 
he won't push it open, he's a baby!

I'd definitely get the swing open kind! I'm waaaay too short to gracefully hurdle a baby gate!

Nope. The dogs follow me in there when I go in to change her, but when the catch on that nothign exciting is happening they leave. We close her door at night and during naps so they don't wake her up.
