Gosh yes. It's insanity.

Someone reported that I was being favored because I was allowed time to pump. Ridiculous.

Yes. Everyone has something to gripe about with each other. I usually get caught in the middle and have to play neutral. Ugh.

@Bookish: By nature of the job, I work mostly on my own, but holy cow, I'd jump out a window if I had to deal with that!

Ughhh yes. 99% of preschool teachers are female. So much dumb, petty drama.

I hate the drama. And in my small office it is mostly by our supervisor. Talk about awkward. I pretty much try not to talk to her much anymore just to avoid it.

Yes...but I actually teach middle school.

So. Much. Drama. I work with rich old people governed by a rich old board of directors that is reluctant to change with the times.

That would drive me insane. I quit working when I got pregnant due to my hyperemesis, but I was a nurse. So, I worked with mostly women. We all got along really well and there was never drama. But it may have helped that the same people weren't all there everyday. We all got breaks from each other.

Among my co-workers within my department- no.

Outside of my department- yes, but I try not to pay attention to that and fly under the radar as much as possible.

Among our clients- yes, animals are involved, when animals are involved, it becomes very high emotion and sometimes high schoolish.

Fortunately no. There's a pretty good culture of mind-your-own-business established at my office.

Nope! I'm in engineering and work with 95% men, over half of whom are married with kids. Just about as boring as you can get haha

It's not that bad, but we have some. We have a lady in our small department who thinks she's a manager, she's not. So our issues comes when she tries to "command" us to do things, when she has no authority. Our actual manager has to step in and pull her aside at least 2x a year to say "we are a department of 4, there is no need for 2 managers, I'm the only one who has the authority to assign tasks." She's been with the company for 15 years so she thinks because she has seniority it matters, even though I've been in the department the longest!

And this is why I love working in the Construction industry
3 offices and practically 0 drama. There's always one older woman (admin usually) who tries to stir stuff up, but it's hard for her to engage other people so it's no big deal.

Not anymore....2002-2008 had a lot of drama!
