Does your prenatal vitamin contain iron or calcium?
If not, are you taking iron or calcium supplements?
My gummy prenatals don't have iron or calcium. I'm taking calcium supplements but not iron. I don't know how much to take.

My prenatals have 27 mg of iron, which is the recommended amount for pregnancy. I think with iron supplements you need to check with your doctor before you start taking any amount as a supplement. A lot of women aren't anemic, or don't become anemic until later in pregnancy, and therefore don't need the extra iron.
As for calcium, I only have 15% of the recommended intake in my prenatal. I haven't started taking a supplement yet as we don't have chewable supplements here in Australia, but when I visit the States in two weeks, I will be picking up either some Tums or calcium chews or something to increase the amount. I am not positive of how much you're supposed to take though.
I mentioned this in another thread but if you're looking for a prenatal that contains iron and is chewable, Belly Band (sold at Walgreens) contains the 27 mg of iron and is manageable on taste. I was set on going with gummies too until I realised there was no iron and after loads of research, I came across the Belly Band. I'm not sure if that's why you're taking a gummy but just thought I'd throw it out there!

@Ree723- Oh, cool. I'll definitely check out Belly Band. Thanks!
ETA: I can't find Belly Band Prenatals but I can find Belly Bar prenatals. Is that what you had?

I gather that a lot of vitamins had too MUCH iron for pregnant women, which is why some prenatals don't have it any more. When I start TTC, I'll start taking a calcium supplement again.

LOL, clearly pregnancy brain is setting in early!! Yes, it's Bellybar, not belly band. My sister picked them up at Walgreens for me but you can also order them from Amazon.
