My LO went swimming a lot last year between the age of 4-9 months. The weather is heating up and we took her into the pool twice this week and she hates it! She is 16 months old...maybe this is just an adjustment period?

My son wasn't a huge fan last year (when he was 2). He LOVES it now. I think it just takes some getting used to. I would keep trying!

Yes! She loves it! She is 12-months and is happiest when she is in water.
She loves floating (or swimming) in a big pool, splashing in a tiny kiddie pool, or even going waist-deep in the freezing cold water of the bay. She is a total fish!

I found that keeping them really warm is crucial at that age. The other thing that helps is a toy or two, cups are the biggest hit by far. I know people who just keep their swim bag stocked with solo cups because other kids always (accidentally) swiped her nicer cups and that way they always have a toy on hand. At that age they are also all about independence so a children's pool is great and then they can get in and out, make foot prints all over etc.

When my lo was your lo's age she didn't love it because she wanted to be on her own... and you can't just let a toddler go in the pool! Now she'll let us hold her while she practices swimming. And she loves to jump in!

Chloe loves bathtime and the baby pool, but hated the swimming pool last year!

She loved it last year (when she was 15 months old). It's too cold to swim, but we're planning on lots of pool time once the weather warms up.

She loves it! We joined the beach club because she loves it so much. We are gonna live there this summer.

DD enjoyed it last summer, but this summer she is in LOVE! We have a kiddie pool in our backyard and a community pool that is close, and she wants to be in either of them each day! She is three years old and I can tell we will be spending a lot of time in the water this summer. DS is 14 months and he is just along for the ride (as he is for most things hahaha) He doesn't seem to mind it though.
