My 18 month old very very rarely, if ever, says "yes". I've gotten her to parrot "Yexxxx" after me a few times, but she never uses it independently.

I used to think she only said "no" because she liked the reaction she got or wanted to keep power (like when we ask "do you love daddy?" Or "did you go poo poo?"....but now she's started nodding in response to some of those questions, and I think maybe she just can't say "Yes"! Or maybe it's just not her personality to be so agreeable, haha.

Does your toddler say yes to answer questions? When did s/he start saying it?

Note: I'm not concerned - DD's vocabulary and speech are great...I've just noticed this nuance recently and am curious!
