I'm surprised that DD still doesn't leave her room when she wakes up in the mornings. She'll cry out and wait for someone to come get her, but she could easily get out of bed, open her door and walk next door to our bedroom. Does your toddler get out of bed to come find you?

DD can't open her door by herself yet. She used to be so good; if she woke up early, we'd just go in, tell her that it wasn't morning yet, and she'd go back to sleep or play by herself in her room until we came back to get her. Lately she's been waking up ridiculously early and screaming at the top of her lungs until we go get her.
Ugh.

yup! he hollers, "moooommmmeeee! i'm awaaaaaaaaaake!!!" and just waits til we come and get him. he could totally come out of his bed and walk out of his room, but he never does! it's like the one rule he always follows! weirdo.

@Andrea: It just kills me, she's so cute. Can you just imagine what's going through her head? It's like she KNOWS she can just open the door, but she's spent her whole life just waiting for someone to get her. It's a real conundrum!

@Andrea: Anytime before 6:15 we would just tell her it wasn't morning yet and she'd happily spend that time in her room until we came back. Now she's progressively getting up earlier and earlier, and she screams at us until we go get her up for the day.

LO comes to our room

Nope. He just hangs out until we go him. He will read or sing to himself. My youngest also hangs out for a bit until he really can't stand it anymore and will fuss for me to go get him bc he is probably hungry.

Her door has a childproof handle. She usually knocks on the door and calls us.
Ugh.
