If so, when did it start?
I didn't realize what real whining was like until this past weekend. LO is 14.5 months old, and it was definitely an annoying whine i heard. Ahhhhh.

I don't know when it started but it seems to have reached some sort of peak between 2 and 2.5. I didn't really notice it until he was talking a lot -- then I could really tell. waaaahhhhh

The thing about LO (23 months) is that she'll go from whine to full on tantrum in 2 seconds. I don't know what is worse, though. She never whines long enough for me to talk to her...
What did you do? I can't stand whining!

My 11 month old definitely do. Just started recently. DD moreso than DS. And I'm sure it will get worse as they speak more.

@Rubies: I just get down to her level and just talk to her as if she can respond to me. You're right...whining does escalate to tantrums! Yesterday she started whining because i told her she only gets to watch one youtube video and i put it away. I told her, "Umma said you only get to watch *1* video. I'm sorry, i know you want to watch more, but you only get *1*." She cried for a little bit but thankfully i was able to distract her.
It just gets embarrassing when we're out in public.

My kid is almost 6 and still whines. I have no idea when it stops. Maybe when they graduate high school?
