LO has always been a rockstar night sleeper. We had to wake to feed through the first month and I always had to wake her. As soon as we stopped waking to feed she moved to eating once/night. I usually put her down around 10 (give or take 30 min) and she wakes to eat around 4-5am (even then she rarely wakes up all the way and fusses... but she gets restless in her sleep so i wake her up and feed her and she seems hungry, if super sleepy still) and then goes back down. For the last month she has usually fallen back asleep for 1-2 hours, waking for the day around 6 or 7. But this week she has been sleeping in. This is the 3rd morning in a row she's slept past 8. The first day she woke by herself right about 8. Yesterday she was stirring in her sleep around 8 and I was worried it had been too long since she'd eaten so I just woke her up to feed her. Today I decided to see how long she'd sleep... and at 8:30 she is still going strong.
Is this normal for 8 weeks?
I mean if it is healthy then I am beyond thrilled. I am so grateful to be well rested. But it just seems unusual to me and as a FTM that makes me anxious.
My primary concerns are:
1) Is she eating enough? If she's going to end up sleeping like 11-12 hours with only 1 wakeup, she could end up eating only 5-6 times/day. Which doesn't seem enough for her age (especially since she is a pretty fussy eater lately and I have to really try to get her to take formula even when she's clearly hungry).
2) She doesn't pee when she's sleeping hardly at all. She has lots of wets through the day, but almost always she wakes up after her long stretch of sleep dry. She then usually pees while I"m nursing her. But I feel like its not normal for her to not pee from 10-4 or 5.
So.... tell me I'm ridiculous (I hope)? That this is a gift and not a problem? I want to enjoy it but my mom nerves won't let me haha.
