What kind of stroller should I get for kids 21 months apart? Double stroller? Sit and stand stroller? Just a travel system for the newborn? I am so clueless! Thanks!

We have a double Bob. Not convenient for shopping, but we do a lot outdoors and you can't beat how well it rolls over different terrains.

Depends on how you use the stroller. Mine are 22 months apart. For the first year, I either wore my younger one and out the older one in the stroller, or (as the older one got closer to three years) pushed the younger one in the stroller and used a buggy board attachment for the older one. I got a double secondhand after Dd2 turned one because she was getting unhappy being carried. But if she had been like her big sister, I could have carried her until big sis was willing to walk everywhere. By 3.5 my older one much preferred walking or riding the board.
So much depends on your stroller preferences and kuds' personalities. ETA: when I did get one, I got a baby jogger city select because you can still use it as a single. I leave one seat at my older DD's school with her sometimes!!

We got the new Uppababy with the rumble seat that can face forward - so far so good. My sons are 26 months apart. I think it depends on your older child, though, how do they do in the stroller?

We have the side by side double Britax. I really love it!! It steers even easier than the single.

My kids are 21 months apart too and we have a single stroller with a rumble seat. My DS (LO1) walked quite a bit by that age and even more at 24 months so a full double would have been too much. I think my decission would have been different though if I SAH and I would have to use the stroller to get around. For us with using the stroller just on the weekends the solution was perfect because it didn't need as much space as a full double would have needed. Even now at 3 LO1 will sometimes sit in the stroller for a quick break of walking.

I think it really depends on your lifestyle. If you use it frequently, I would probably get a double. If it's something you already don't use much, I would skip it. We live in a city with no car, so we use the stroller just about every day. My kids are 3 years apart though, so we bought the ride on board for the stroller and did not get a double. Had my kids been as close as yours will be, I would have definitely gotten a double.

I would get a double. I can't imagine not having a place for my guys to sit, and they are 23 months apart. I have a double Bob, but it's awful for stores, and a britax bready. I would get a city jogger select, if I could do it again.

I used the older Uppababy vista with a rumble seat for a few months with my bigger girls (not quite two years apart). My oldest can't resist a stroller nap and the rumble seat left her with her neck crooked hanging forward. Little sister was too small for the rumble seat at that point and it just wasn't working.
I switched to a mountain buggy duet and never looked back.
Now with three kids my oldest is on the back with a ride on board, and my younger two have the seats, my youngest with a car seat attachment. We mix it up with who is in a carrier who is on a seat.
It's a very flexible stroller and is actually narrower than my old vista even though it's a side by side. It can be a single as well.
I use the stroller daily and really need a place to contain little bodies. If we only used it occasionally we could have gotten by with a single and a carrier.

I don't think I'll be getting one for my babies who will be 20 months apart. I just didn't use a stroller all that often for the 1st--I found it easier to put her in a carrier. I did use a stroller frame to pop her car seat in for the first 3 months or so. My DD is now pretty busy and only goes for short rides in the stroller before getting fussy. I think I'll work on her holding on the stroller when she needs to stay close. I may also look into a ride on board like @lamariniere: mentioned.

@Mrs. Lion: That is what I am looking into as we have the infant car seat from DD, the stroller can be used with one I. a carseat and another I stroller correct?!

I'm getting a double bob, and the addition for our orbit that makes it a double. For you, though, I'm not sure that you will use it that much since you like to babywear B a lot.

@FaithFertility: yes, it can hold an infant seat on either side but not both. One downfall with our seat (the chaperone, which is bigger than the b-safe) was that the stroller canopy didn't close over the infant seat, but we could still use the one built into the seat. Also, you can't attach both the snack tray and the infant seat adapters, so no snack tray for the toddler. We survived though!

I got a rumble seat for my uppababy vista for shopping etc (won't use as much) and got an awesome deal on a used bumbleride indie twin for our daily neighborhood walks. My boys are 24 months apart and so far this set up has been great.

@Mrs. Lion: hahahah OK, man so much to think about! I haven't bought the snack try for DD even at 15 months... Whoops so I think that will be OK!

I ordered the city mini GT double. They will be just over 2 years apart. We walk lots of places so I think we need it!
Still haven't got an adapter or bassinet for the new baby, il need to figure that out out by June!

Mine are 20 months apart and we have the Britain B Ready. I liked that it is tandem, assuming it would be narrow but it is deceptively wide at the wheels. Otherwise I love it - especially that I could use it as a single before LO2 was born. Our sidewalks really are not the best and it is great on them. My kids are now 3.5 and almost 2 and we are just starting to have a problem with them fighting for the front seat. Overall I have loved the stroller.

@erinbaderin: my older one (only 13 mo now) prefers to be worn everywhere! He likes the stroller fine though, we have a britax b agile

@lamariniere: I almost never use my stroller. We have LONG cold winters, and I usually wear LO1. But I won't be able to wear both of them!

Mine are 29 months apart and I got a City Select Double. I would use it with the carseat and then the regular seat for my toddler. But now, more often than not, I use it with just one regular seat (for the baby) and the toddler rides on the glider board attachment. I only use both seats now when I NEED the toddler restrained.

@ms. pug: in that case, I wouldn't get a double if you already don't use your current stroller much. You can probably count on wearing one and pushing one.
