20% all our money. We bought in a super cheap (but up and coming) neighborhood. We also live off of one income and are pretty cheap. We share a car and don't have cable, etc.

Somewhere between 3.5 and 5%, I don't remember. We bought a house relatively young though (25/26). I'd only been out of school a year, and my husband had just spent basically all his savings on my engagement ring. But we wanted a house and could afford the monthly payments and I'm really glad we bought when we did because house values have gone up drastically since we bought.

My husband bought our first house with 0 down. That house is now pending and we will be putting 10-15% down on our next house. Our money (not making any $ on the sale of our first home, unfortunately).

20%, our money (mostly DH's savings from pre-marriage, though).

20% our money + cost of inspections/test
IL's gifted us money that we used towards the inspections & radon test
In total, we paid 23% out-of-pocket.

20%. I bought it before DH and I were together. It was money from an inheritance.

@bluestriped bee: 100% and our money (parents thought we were crazy)! But I bet many bees paid more on their downpayment than I did on my house--very low cost of living here.

20% down for my condo - gift from my parents.

3% -all our money. Both sets of our parents never even owned a house when we were kids. We are at nearly 50% our value, 7 years in.
