Looks like baby acne, my son had it so bad and I had such a hardtime making myself leave it alone :\

@crazydoglady: Let it ride it's course, which was sooo hard for me being a picker

Baby acne for sure. Ours looked a lot like that. Cropped up around the same age too! Came back again I want to say 7-8 weeks.

@SweetiePie: Oh, yeah, it looks very similar. I read that mustela water helps, but it probably just has to run its course.

Yep my first had it truly awfully, my second had none and my third was in between. So no idea what makes it happen for only some babies! For #3 started looking much better at 7w and is nearly gone at 2m. I’ve been putting vanicream on it to keep it from getting dry/scaly but don’t think it gets rid of it necessarily.

@crazydoglady: yeah I think it does just take time. We just sort of treated it like diaper rash. Kept it clean and dried well then moisturized. No clue if it did anything but made me feel better and kept it from looking too irritated. Though I’ve heard it doesn’t bother them at all!

I was just coming to ask the same question! Looks like we have acne too.
Hope it clears up soon for you.

If you’re breastfeeding squirt some milk on it and let it air dry. Helps a lot!

@Crazydoglady: DD is precious!
DS had this as well. It began in his first week right after his allergy [rash] to the hospital's laundry detergent cleared up. My only saving grace to help clear it up was applying a few drops of breastmilk on an organic cotton pad 4 times daily to the affected area. The redness disappeared within a few days and the acne bumps followed suit a couple weeks later.

@crazydoglady: OMG she's so cute another vote for baby acne. both of mine had it worse than this for a full month around weeks 2.5-5.5. there was an old thread where everyone was saying it clears up in a few days, I just had to be patient--ours just cleared up a few days ago over here.

@SweetiePie: oh interesting, I always heard it was hormones from breast milk, but didn't you FF from the beginning this time? can't believe I still can't distinguish what's old wives tales and what's fact.

@LCTBQE: it’s hormones just from being in your body for 9 months! That’s what my ped said. It takes a couple months for them to work their way out.
