Droid - but I'm anti-Apple in general, so I'll probably never own an I-phone.

I don't know much about Droids but I have an iPhone and I love it!

We're pretty anti-Apple ever since my Macbook died after 3 years. Plus Wagon Sr. is all about personalizing your phone and iPhones don't let you use things like widgets, etc. So we both have Droids. We both had the Droid 2 (which has a physical keyboard) but i recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I love it. When I first got it I thought it was WAY too huge, but after just one day I got used to it and I can't imagine using a smaller phone. Yes, you can use it as an ipod with any music app (it comes with one or you can download any from the google play store or amazon app store, tons for free). Or you can use Pandora or anything like that.

The only drawback is that sometimes companies will come out with apps for the iPhone first... but usually they follow pretty quickly with an android app. I'm not huge on apps (they slow down your phone and suck battery life!) so it's not a big deal for me. The best thing about my Galaxy Nexus is the camera!! I can take like six shots in a second, which is great for kids and dogs!!

i had a droid and liked it until it wasn't compatible with network required updates and took 30 mins to turn on and wouldn't allow me to answer phone calls (thanks sprint!)- this was on a phone that i paid full boat for when my other phone was broken and i wasn't due yet for an upgrade. then i had to deal with it until i was finally due for an upgrade & i got the iphone 4s. i like it, took me about a week before i liked it though. i'm an apple person though, so it works well with my other apple items.

Love the iphone, but I'm probably going back to Droid soon.

iPhone - hands down.

I've had both. I loved my droid and I love my iPhone, so I'm not much help. I got the iPhone after having the Droid for two years to try something new. I bought the iPhone 4 right after the 4S came out so I was able to get it much cheaper. I don't care too much about being with the times since there is always something new!

I had a blackberry for years prior to my iPhone... i didn't hate it, but was jealous of the iPhone users & all of the capabilities.

I've had an iPhone for about 2 years or so now, and love it. The only complaint I have is that even after 2 years, I still find it hard to type on. I could type super fast on my BB.

We're an iPhone family. DH is all about the iPhone, but refuses to get a Mac though. He's a PC kind a guy.

What about a Windows phone? Just kidding, sort of. I have a Windows phone, but I don't know anyone else who does. I don't use a lot of apps, so it doesn't really bother me that there are far fewer apps for Windows than Apple or Droid. I use my phone for texting, email, internet, FB, maps/traffic, app games, and obviously phone calls. Oddly, my traffic is usually more accurate than DH's iPhone. There is a radio app on my phone, but I rarely use it. I listen to the regular radio in the car, and I have an iPod. My camera isn't fantastic, but it doesn't bother me.

DH has an iPhone. He has a lot of apps, although I'm not sure how many he uses regularly. He sometimes listens to music on his iPhone in the car. He installed some wiring that connects directly to his sound system, but before that he used a device that plugged in to the cigarette lighter and used a radio signal. His camera is pretty good.

My dad has a Droid. I don't know a lot about it. He has a radio app, I think it's Pandora. He has an adaptor that goes into his tape deck (his car is old enough that it has a tape deck) so he can listen in the car.

There are definitely options to connect an iPhone or Droid so that you can listen in the car, depending on your car (not sure if that was part of your question on listening to Droid in the car). Aside from music, I think it depends on how important apps are for you. You should be able to go into the store and play with different phones to see which Droid you like the best.

I have an Android (LG Vortex). Recently I've been considering getting an iPhone because my battery life sucks, but then I've heard that the iPhone battery isn't much better. If I use my phone even moderately, it needs to be charged in a bout 16 hours. I also am thinking about the switch because there doesn't seem to be much storage on the phone for apps. I don't use many, but occasionally I've had to delete apps to add new ones, which is annoying. The camera issue is the other thing. My phone doesn't have a flash and the picture quality isn't all that great (the pictures are dark and if I zoom in at all, they get grainy).

But I'm kind of anti-Apple (though I do have an iPod) and I'm always kind of anti-mainstream. I don't like to buy things just because everyone else has them. So, I don't know. I'm torn.

I have an iPhone that I love, but i hate iTunes. I'd try out an Android, but I would wait until they had a much much biggger app store. Also, bad about iPhone is that it doesn't use Flash, so there's a few fancy websites that won't open.

I have an ancient non-smart phone and am thinking about getting an iPhone to take photos of the soon-to-arrive baby and being able to email/upload them easily. My husband, who is a Mac devotee, says to wait until the new one because rumor says it will be a bigger screen and a sharper camera, and he already thinks the camera is pretty good on his, which is a 3S, I think.
