Have you ever had to dry clean any of your LO's clothes?
My friend got the LO a Burberry spring jacket and I just realized that it is dry clean only. Man, good thing it was a free jacket!!

@Andrea: We have one jacket that is dry clean only, so I guess we will dry clean that but honestly she hasn't worn it much so we haven't yet...maybe just before I pack it away lol

@sulli301: i'd like to wash it before she wears it (never been worn). but i always doubt how clean "dry clean" is?? haha.

@Andrea: I washed the coat DD has by hand in the tub with a tiny tiny amount of super mild, scent free detergent & let it air dry (it took FOREVR)

@sulli301: yeah, i was thinking of just doing that because i would have to dry clean it multiple times otherwise. dry cleaning is way too expensive.

I always look at her clothes and make sure they're machine wash before I buy. I do that with my clothes too.

my parents own a dry cleaner and i don't think i'd want to buy dry clean only clothes for my los. i think it's fine for us, but probably not the best for babies that are really young, especially when they haven't even gotten their shots yet. if it's for your 2-year old, i think it should be fine, but that's just me. =)

H3ll no! A) the cost and effort of it being dry cleaned and b) do I want LO being exposed to dry cleaning chemicals? Noooo.

@cupcakemama: what do you think about "green" dry cleaning? i know they have one by me and i was going to take the jacket there if i do dry clean it!

@Andrea: don't know. Is it actually green or just greener than normal dry cleaning? Or do they just dispose of the chemicals better?? So many questions!
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@cupcakemama: haha. i know, all these questions just from trying to clean this one jacket! gaaaah!

Oh jeez! I can't imagine owning clothes for my kid that are dry clean only. I don't own any clothes that are! I'd probably just toss it in the washer on the easiest cycle and line dry. I guess I just think it's ridiculous to have to pay to get your lo's jacket clean!
