With LO #2 on the way we will need an audio monitor for their room AND one for DD's room since she is still young enough for us to need one. I can't seem for find any that have two receivers vs two parent monitors. Do I just need to buy a separate single monitor? I only need audio.

But I wanted to say also, that I thought I only wanted audio, it was what we had with DD until it broke. But with DS we got a cheaper video monitor with 2 cameras and it has been great! Even with a small house I find it a lot more useful than I thought I would. It is by Motorola and was only $100.

We have a dual monitor (with one parent unit) but it's not audio only. We've had it for a few weeks and love it. Previously we had two separate monitor setups and they were interfering with one another and cutting out. Drove me batty.

@pinkb: we have this fancy video monitor that is separate and we use on our phones so I can see her anywhere I have my phone, even if I am not at home. Otherwise I would totally be getting one with a video too! This thing is a lifesaver!
I'm not home but I was just now able to check in on her (and it even let's me take pictures... So I can be the ultimate momaratzie. Lol)

@MamaG: that's what I was worried about! I am not totally against video, we just don't NEED it. Which one do you have???

We have a Summer Infant. I think it's called Dual View. It was about $250 at BBB. I didn't want to spend the money, but I wasn't ready to give up having a monitor for my older kiddo yet. The nice bonus is that we have the talk back feature now. Our old monitor was about 4 years old.

We also have the Summer Infant Dual View. It takes up to 4 cameras on one monitor/parent unit. We've used it for almost a year and have been really pleased with it on all sccounts (clarity, reception, battery life, etc.). I often use it with the video off.
