DD is 2.5 and has never really played with legos. She has those megablocks and rarely plays with them so I figure she's not so much into building. But I'm thinking of getting her one of those Duplo Legos to try and THERE ARE SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM! Which one does your kid have and love??

My DS is 2.5 and has the ice cream cone set that he LOVES. We also have a smaller school bus set and a dump truck set. I have a larger zoo set that I'm waiting to give him as a potty training reward.
He plays the Duplo apps on my phone which are fun and has been a good intro into the duplo sets.

My 20 month old likes her duplos alot. We have the All-in-One Box of Fun. It has an assortment of things (boy, dog, wheels, windows, flowers) in addition to the blocks.

We got her the Duplo house 10505. It comes with figures (mom, dad, kid, and cat) along with flowers, table, chairs, beds with fabric inserts, hard plastic wallpaper, little kitchen and bathroom items. I highly recommend it!

Get some Duplos, but don't despair if she's not immediately interested. I had the same thoughts when my LO was your daughter's age ("Ack! Why doesn't my kid like to build?!"), but now several years later, I spend a lot of time moving creations made out of Duplos and other Legos out of my way so I can vacuum. The plain blocks get the most use. We have a set of the zoo animals, but I tend to find the animals under the sofa.

We have the starter set (I think it's called My first Duplo kit or something like that) and the ice cream set. Don't forget to buy one of those baseplates, too!

We have this one for our 3 year old. She LOVES it. We also have two mats that she can put the legos onto so they're not sliding all over the table.
