It seems a cold/cough is never just a cold with my twins...at least half the time it turns into an ear infection. Right now both my guys are vomiting, too. Does this happen with anyone else? I took one twin to the doctor yesterday (I was foolish enough to think the other was on the mend), and she said vomiting is consistent with an ear infection. Then today when the other started vomiting, we called the advice nurse first, who said flat out, your doctor is wrong, vomiting has nothing to do with an ear infection. Taking 2nd twin to a different doctor today.

It sounds like it would most likely be a stomach bug to cause the vomiting. I hope you guys get better soon!!

I didn't notice vomiting with my boys with ear infections. But if they are very congested they have vomited. Basically they are trying to cough up phlegm but end up vomiting. So if they are super congested with ear infections I could see that they would throw up.

If the vomiting happens after a coughing fit it's likely related, if not, it's probably something else.

We've had vomiting with ear infections. It was usually only immediately after finishing a bottle.

We've had vomiting with ear infections too, just one time of throwing up for each ear infection and usu middle of the night. It's really different for each kid.

@Eminthevalley: Mine threw up while he had an ear infection, it was not a stomach virus, but I think it was more related to his fever.

Lo has only had 1 ear infection and she vomited with it. The nurse practitioner who diagnosed her said that there's new thinking about the link between ear infections and vomiting
