Aaaah! I've only felt one once and that was enough! Are you on the west coast?

Still can't get over them! Although, our house shakes a little when a big rig drives by, I notice them more now that I'm at home during my maternity leave. But this one was no truck tremor, yikes!

i felt it only once in peru (well twice, once when it was happening and the 2nd was the aftershock within the next day or 2 or so at the airport on our way home! such a weird feeling, but for some reason, i was awed, not scared. =T

They are definitely weird. I live in Cali too and have felt my share. Scariest was the north ridge one (we were many many miles away in another county). I was dreaming everything was shaking and woke up and it still was. I was in middle school.
The funniest was about 7 years ago. I live near a military base and large random explosions are common. It felt just like a large explosion my husband moved and I just say there like he was crazy. Why move for an explosion.
The other note able one was when we were on vacation in San Diego. I ran out out of the hotel with one of the dogs. The other was trapped in his crate. My husband was the one sitting and looking at me like I was crazy.

I hate earthquakes. We have them all the time here in tokyo. I had never felt one before living here. When we first moved here, we lived in a hotel and our first few days, there was an earthquake. I went and looked out the window to see what was going on outside and DH yelled at me to get away from the window. (>_<)

I'm actually a little bit jealous. I would love to feel an earthquake. But only a baby one. And preferrably somewhere I didn't live so I wouldn't have to worry about negative effects on the foundation of my house!

I'm in central PA, and have felt two here - we're not exactly an epicenter. For the first one, I thought our dishwasher was just being really loud. The second one, i was at work and the building was shaking. That was a lot scarier.
