Do you think it's worth making Easter baskets for LOs under the age of 14 months?
I want to get my nieces Easter bunnies from Gifts Define, but I'm wondering if niece #2 is too young (14 months old). Niece #1 is 5 years old so I know she'd like it..

I'm not making one....I guess she would like it but I don't really know anything about making Easter baskets since I never had that growing up.

Maybe you can make one with some more baby friendly items, like toys instead of candy.

@artbee: i'm sure! but i guess i'm not that interested since i don't celebrate easter. so maybe i will wait until she asks to do something for it. oh, i suppose we could go on an egg hunt this year. last year she wasn't walking yet.

@Andrea: Oh, I didn't know you didn't celebrate. Than I agree, why do it? We're Jewish, but my grandma used to buy me easter baskets. I think she just liked to buy me stuff.

charlie had one (bought not made) around 15 months. he liked opening and closing the plastic eggs. we'll get him one this year too.

@artbee: yeah my family is buddhist! DH is christian but i know he isn't going to be making any easter baskets!

There are so many things that you can put in Easter baskets, doesn't have to be candy.
Last year, at 4 months, I put some bath toys, rolled up onesies and stuffed animals in my son's. You can also put in board books, art supplies, etc.
I personally don't make the basket, I just buy a basket and stuff to fill it. Making one is too ambitious for me right now.

We are doing one for DD who will be 11 months. I plan to just put a few little toys & books, like "Pat the Bunny" & Hide & Squeak Eggs. And then just these pretty cardboard eggs & plastic eggs that she can open & close.
