Since we already have been talking about Easter gifts all day...
I understand gifts are gifts and I'll take anything people give my kids.
I'm also going to assume you give gifts that you prefer to receive.

no gifts!
we graciously accept and thank our gift-givers, but really, my son doesn't need more gifts. he's really happy with all the desserts/candy we eat at Easter, that's definitely more than enough.

I don't really get why Easter has become a gift giving holiday (same as Halloween - the grandparents started to give gifts for that too!) so I am happy to receive nothing. We did have to talk to the IL's after LO's first Easter because they went crazy buying outfits, books, toys, stuffed animals, etc. It was insane. If someone insists on an Easter gift, I think a spring themed coloring book is perfect and costs like $1.

If it fits in a small Easter basket I'm happy. Otherwise I think it's silly/overkill.

I'd prefer non Easter related gifts (theme/ religious) and gifts that fit into the basket. If attending church, a new outfit. That to me is Easter "gifting" in a nutshell.

I voted any gift is cool b/c my LO loves receiving and giving gifts. I always appreciate the gifts my MIL gives. It's so obvious that she puts so much thought into her gifts, and she always buys the boys much needed clothes!

Gift is gift and doesn't matter! We gave our niece a chocolate bunny and they gave us Bunnies too. Mil gave the girls some hair accessories, stuffed animals and stickers.

I prefer small, useful items (clothes for the next season, hair stuff), art supplies, and books. I dislike sweets and stuffed animals.
(In the past, I have given LO stuffed bunnies for Easter and they are now her lovies so I don't regret it, but I no longer gift her stuffed toys because she has too many already.)

Well we got our son lots of new board books for most of his basket, then two toothbrushes and a toothpaste. We didn't do chocolate although he got some fruit snacks and mini marshmallows in two plastic eggs. MIL sent a bunny, an Easter themed book, that egg carryon puzzle you everyone seems to have, and bubbles. Seems perfect to me!
We have a nephew almost the same age as my son and we sent him an Elmo cup, Elmo sandwich cutter, mini marshmallows and fruit snack eggs, an Elmo book, puffs, and some stickers.
