So sorry for your loss. I've not experienced an ectopic, a close friend of mine did. It can be very scary. I'm glad they were able to save the tube and hope you're able to find some peace on your birthday.

@MK0180: I'm so sorry this happened to you! I had a very similar experience. I had an ectopic pregnancy the first time I ever got pregnant. I took a digital pregnancy test and was overjoyed that I was pregnant. Then at around 10 weeks, I started getting bad cramps on my left side with brown spotting. The ultrasound revealed that the egg had burrowed in my left tube and was still alive (they saw the heart flickering on the monitor). I was rushed to the hospital right away (literally that day) and they removed my left tube. I was devastated. We tried again 6 months later and I got pregnant. They found that i had ovulated from my left side and the egg moved over to my right side, down my right tube and and implanted in my uterus! It was amazing. My son is now almost 3!
We call him the "overachiever".
When I got pregnant again (with my DD), I was so scared of getting another ectopic pregnancy. But all went smoothly and I have a beautiful 5 month old daughter now I know things are rough right now (my DH and I were completely devastated) but things will get better and this will pass with time.

@MK0180: I am so sorry to hear that you have to go through this after so long trying for your BFP.
I also had an ectopic a few months ago. I didn't even know I was pregnant until my tube ruptured at 7 weeks.
Again, so so sorry, thinking of you.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had an ectopic in July following IVF. I was shocked because the enbryo was placed in the uterus! Apparently the fertilized egg travels around before implanting. My doctor said it was normal for them to float around and go in the tubes, sometimes they can't get out. I'm glad you had a good outcome. It can be very scary. We got pregnant during a FET three months after the ectopic....I wish you and your husband all the best!!
