Spinning off of the earlier thread today about parenting secrets....
... I let LO (14.5m) use an electric toothbrush. He brushes with either DH or I, while we brush our teeth, every morning and night. He LOVES it. He has the exact make/model that we have (we use a different color head, though, so to not switch them!) and I think he likes mimicking us.
I haven't bothered to look up if electric toothbrushes are "ok"..... whatever. It WORKS.

I've been wondering if an electric toothbrush would help my LO not hate teeth brushing. She likes to help me use mine.

We ordered a baby electric toothbrush, recommended by our ped because LO (19m] hates teeth brushing. She says a lot of toddlers love it. Well, he's scared of it and hates it. Ugh.

My dental hygienist told me one of the many perks of using an electric toothbrush for kids is that it gets them used to the whirling/whooshing sound and when they do go in for dental visits, it's not as scary bc the noise is what they've been accustomed to

I bought one because the pediatrician recommended it, but my kid was scared of it, and remains scared of it at 3. It's a great idea if your kiddo goes for it!

Our kids love/d electric toothbrushes and I agree that they helped create some novelty to the brushing routine and got them to brush when they hated it!

I got DD one when she was like 18 months! It was only cool for so long. Right now, what works is that we tell her she needs to brush her teeth so she doesn't have to go to the dentist lol. She did not enjoy her last visit.

We got the cheap one time use ones (I think they were like $6-8 for a two pack on amazon). The kids love them. They dont have to charge. And even if they just sit there with the brush in their mouth I feel better about the amount of cleaning getting done. Our Sonicare ones were too rough/loud for them.

my kids have been using sonicare for kids for a little over a year now and they love it!
