DD is going to be heartbroken.
ETA: Oh, I didn't see that he has "backup" puppeteers do Elmo when he's away. DD might not notice... But I still feel bad for the guy.

That's a shame. Elmo will still be around, it just won't be his original creator as his puppeteer anymore.
