My 4.5 yo's preschool teacher has always said my son is one of the more emotional kids in the class, in the sense that little things will set him off and he will end up crying or acting out. We see the same at home, but if the teacher didn't point it out I wouldn't have known he was more sensitive than an average preschooler.
Anyway, anyone have any good books, blogs, resources for how to support and react to emotional kiddos? Sometimes I'm able to de-escalate the situation, but it's becoming more often that my husband and I lose our cool. I also wonder if there is something that is stressing him out that is causing him to be so emotional in the first place.
