I swore by pain relieving suppositories until 24 months, I hadn't ever seen them in the US before, but I know you can get them here as well.
I also have a magical decongestant that can be used on toddlers, as well as Similisan granules for homeopathic use. I also have a really great arnica gel that I used for bruises, it worked well, but I am convinced that it's also the massage application that made the difference.
oh, and toothpaste for kids. I can't find one that's not fruit or candy flavored,so I buy tubes from Europe, just plain mint, no sugar added.
As far as gear, though, the US has more selection.

so funny, because i am going to the US this weekend and have been working on a list of stuff i want to buy! mostly becuase it is cheaper though, not that we don't have it Canada. I can't think of what we can only get here.

We're in Canada. I go to the US for a ton of stuff we don't have here. Can't find California Baby here and I love it.
We get Bonds Wondersuit sleepers from Australia that I love. They're french terry and really snuggly.

I'm in Canada and the only think I can think of that is easier to get here is domperidone...
I might be wrong but I get the impression it is less commonly prescribed in the USA?

Only thing I can think of is that you can get diclectin (prescription unisom/b6) in Canada. Usually, I'm mad because we can't get stuff that the US has. It's funny to think of it the other way around.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Grace: I think it's now prescribed here as Diclegis? My OB prescribed that for me but insurance didn't want to cover it so I just kept taking Unisom + B6.

DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE.
The US has shitty chocolate in comparison.
Not a baby product. Don't curr
apricot / 345 posts
@blackbird: Yes. Chocolate. (i'm sending packages full of chocolate to my friends in the US)
most of the European baby products are also sold in the US. There are some small organic brands, or small businesses like this (http://www.nasensauger.de like a NoseFrida that you attach to your vacuum cleaner) that I haven't found in the US so far...
and this: not a baby product but it's a chocolate egg filled with a little toy. It's illegal in the US

Honestly, I have a hard time finding Euro products that I love compared to US products, and everything is SO much more expensive here. There are brands like Bugaboo, Baby Bjorn and Stokke that are European, but I don't think that's what you mean. And they aren't cheaper just because they are sold here. I have a lot of baby things shipped/brought to me from the US because I can't find similar items in price/quality.
The one thing I can think of are Naty Nature Babycare diapers. I normally use gDiapers (shipped from the UK), but I like these green disposables for when we travel or when my son was still in diapers at daycare.

@lil owl: haha, we had friends stay at our house and used the baby nose vacuum snot sucker thing and I was horrified!

Umm..... free healthcare??!
We can buy muslin cloths here in the supermarket for £3.50 for a pack of three. I've been told you don't have that in the US?
Its really really hard to say because I don't know what you can't get!!
@lil owl: Whaaaat? You can't get Kinder Eggs? Nooo!
nectarine / 2466 posts
@lil owl: kinder surprises are illegal in the states? Who knew?!
I don't think you can get a Jolly Jumper in the States? I was looking for one there as pretty much everything is cheaper but I couldn't find them anywhere.
There's the door frame one http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=2688484&foreSeeBrowseSampling=15&foreSeeBrowseLoyalty=1&foreSeeEnabled=true
or the one we have on the stand
http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=2688481
Can you get them in the states? I didn't see anywhere online that was from the states either.

@looch: I have arnica gel! I think I found it at walgreens. We use it religiously - now whenever J gets a bump or bruise he asks for arnica!

Whenever we visit friends in the US we have the suitcase full of candy: chocolates, haribos and other goodies.
Baby gear related: we got lots and lots of questions where one could buy our stroller in the US. And people were always so sad when we told them it's from Germany.

Also all pampers products here are without perfume. I nearly fell over backwards the first time I unpacked an American pack.
Babycarrier: There's an Ergo style carrier here that already includes the infant insert:

@lil owl: Its funny you were mentioning the nose aspirator. On my local parent's board people were talking about it and you can buy it on amazon.
I also had my friend get me kinder eggs when he comes to visit from Paris.

I got the Tripp Trapp newborn set shipped from Germany. As far as I know it's not available in the US.

@lil owl: OMG, LO found a video recently on YouTube with people opening Kinder eggs, he kept showing it to me and I had to say sorry sweetie, it's banned here.
@mrsmate: I also have the Stokke newborn set, my uncle shipped it to me from Singapore. Can't find it here.
I have a hard time finding Collégien slippers, Lo lives in them. I buy them from France and shipping is so expensive.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@mamabear57: haha, your kid and mine are watching the same videos! There's a whole egg unboxing world out there.
We have a few kindereggs at our house, my understanding is that they can be found in the US, at some ethnic stores. The toys suck though!
nectarine / 2274 posts
@looch: When he first started watching them, I thought they were really creepy. Good to know that they can be found here, I will have to look for them, just so he can open at least 1. Right now, I will fill his Easter eggs with wood pieces from his train set and let him open them. He likes the process so much, he will request to open eggs about 3 to 4 times a day (he doesn't even care that it's the same toy pieces over and over again).

I don't know if you can get Maclaren pushchairs over there? They are a British brand that are super popular here but I never really see them mentioned on here.

Kinder surprise eggs are taken really seriously at the US/Canada border in WA state. They will specifically ask if you have them and will confiscate! Apparently it is a $2,500 fine PER EGG. Whaaaaaaaaaaaat!

@MrsB2012: I bought one for DS. It's not a Jolly Jumper brand, but same concept. http://www.target.com/p/evenflo-exersaucer-doorway-jumper-bumbly/-/A-14574119#prodSlot=medium_1_2&term=jumper

@Ms.SK: I second you on the sudocrem! I fill a case with it whenever I go to Europe! It's magic!
Also bonjela for teething ( the infant one ) and naturally chocolate
apricot / 475 posts
Sudocrem for any kind of rash or scratch, Arnicare for bruises and the most amazing product for eczema Mustela. I can't say enough good things about Mustela, it's a French brand that's hard to find in the UK but it's honestly amazing for clearing eczema, better than steroid creams in my opinion. You may be able to get it on Amazon:
