We are trying for number two yet but I wanted thoughts on this name. My daughters name has a v in it. I knew an Evan growing up but just one.
Any thoughts, what middle name,"?

I like the name. The first middle name that came to mind was James. I think a one-syllable classic would be a good choice!

Love that name - we would have considered it for our LO if it wasn't for a close friend that was already named it. I immediately thought of James for a middle name, too!

I don't know why but the first middle name that popped into my head for Evan was Charles! I love the name Evan btw.

Charles, but I'm biased because our LO is Evan Charles
We both loved Evan James, but one of our best friends is named James, so it never made the short list

The first thing that popped into my head was Evan Lucas. I really like the name Evan!

i looooove the name evan. we seriously considered it for lil' CB. it is gaining in popularity, if that is a factor at all. i like evan paired with a longer middle name...like, evan alexander, evan matthew, or evan jonathan. i like the way it balances out the way it looks when it's written.
on a side note, friends of ours almost named their 2nd son evan. the reason they didn't was because their older son, who was 3 at the time, kept calling his to-be-born baby brother "effin'" ha!

I really like Evan James too. I like the way the J sound flows. I also like Joseph, Patrick, Tyler and Dean.

Evan is great! Love it! And it pairs well with a lot of names... everyone has had good suggestions. I'm a fan of using family names - maybe a grandad's name or one of your mother's maiden names?

I like Evan too. It's on my list. However, DH wants our first son's middle name to be Edward after his grandfather, and I'm not a hue fan of Evan Edward. Might keep it in mind in case we have 2 boys someday.

@futuremama: Aww I actually dont' mind Evan Edward. Plus he would go by Evan Lastname and Evan Edward Lastname (said all together) doesn't sound weird.

Evan is on our short-list for our son, due in January. His middle name will be Michael.
