We ended up getting 2 long IKEA Expedit shelves to store baby toys and junk and now I'm trying to decide on which baskets to buy. I'm a little concerned about it splintering LO.
Which basket do you have? Do you like it? Does it splinter?

I like the PJAS, but don't own any so not sure about the splintering...

We had the red plastic ones (but in the color purple).
They were easy to put together and sturdy. But not the prettiest. We ended up tossing them after 3 years when we moved to our new place. Wanted to keep our expedit open and without boxes.

We have the branas but would switch them out of we could. Lots of little pieces of straw always breaking off.

@MungBean: I have the fabric ones too! I have pink, black and a teal colour.

We have the PJAS ones and so far no issues with splintering or prices breaking off. We've had them for 2 years but we don't use them a ton honestly...they are in our bonus room and mostly store books, toys, puzzles that LO is too young for but we've moved things around and stuff and no pieces are breaking off. We have 10 of them and it totally adds up so you want to get your $ worth...I love how they look

@mrs. wagon: That's what I was afraid of. DH likes the white one but I've seen older ones peeling.
@sandy: Exactly! It totally adds up! I like the way Pjäs looks as well. I think I've narrowed it down to that or Knipsa.

We got two of the swing doors and a couple of canvas boxes from Target.

We have two of the red plastic ones, and we use them for storing video games & controllers. We've had them for 9 months and so far, no splintering, breaking or anything like that.

I agree about Branas...they're really cheap. I would get something else.

We have the branas in our reading room. They seem fine but we just got them. But we use the "I think I canvas" fabric/nylon storage cubes from land of nod in the nursery expedit. They come in a bunch of colors!

We have the Knipsa ones and they sort of have a weird hay-like smell. Even months later - it sort of bugs me, honestly.

I found this, I really like the way it looks but I'm afraid it would look too structured since the one I got doesn't have as many compartments. Lol, I'm putting way too much thought into this =P
