Whic foods make you think of fall?
For some reason I've been think a lot about apple pie the last 2 days. I'm tempted to make one today. It's cooler than it's been, so it would probably taste pretty good.

Soups - Chili & Chicken Noodle & anything pumpking flavored!
Oh and pot roast with all the fixings is a fall staple. I always make it on the first "cold" day.

It's early enough in the day that if I jumped in the shower, I could go grocery shopping and make a pot roast in the crock pot....I lack motivation though. Pot roast and apple pie would convince Hubs he'd died and gone to heaven.

Chili, pumpkin-flavored stuff, and chowder-style soups. Mmm...corn chowder. Yummmm....

Pumpkin pie, turkey dinners with all the sides, apple crisps, mmm just plain old fresh apples. i just made pumpkin chili the other night! I make my regular chili recipe, but I use pumpkin as the base instead of the tomatoes and then I use smoky chipotle seasoning. It's really rich and yummy!

ahh, I really am looking forward to fall being here. I wish I lived in a part of the country that had more defined seasons -
