No nap???!?!
T fell asleep for 6-7 minutes on our way home from swimming at 11:50. He hadn't had lunch yet so I was sort of happy when he woke up while I was trying to transfer him. He had lunch and I thought he'd go down for his nap. I left him in his crib for 40 minutes and he does not appear to be remotely tired now. I guess I'll try again in 30 minutes. It's now 1:14 p.m. and he has been up for the day since 7:15.....

oh no! DD did that a few weeks ago. Sorry to say, but she didn't nap at all that day. I hope he goes to sleep for you!

Ugh that's the worst. I dislike when B falls asleep in the car before nap time, normally that means a rough day for momma. Are you going to try and put him down again? It's getting kinda late for a nap? Maybe early bedtime???

Yep always. 10 minute nap in Walmart = awake all freaking afternoon.

Yep. I try not to have LO in the car even remotely close to nap time because of this. It was especially bad when he was just switching to one nap.

@Mrs. Yoyo: we are on one nap. He slept in til 715 so I didn't think he would be that tired then and we hit traffic. Boo.

Yup, mine as well so I try and yell in the car to keep them up until we get home! I also shake the infant seat a little to keep her up. #1 mom.

@Andrea: Me too. Sometimes rather violently because otherwise he will not wake up! The don't shake a baby thing doesn't apply to the seat! Ha.

Haha. We just had this happen! Wasn't even two minutes and yet now she won't go back down. Fingers crossed she does or it's going to be a tough evening!

My latest trick is to crack a back window. I alternate windows every few minutes as needed. It is a great diatraction from falling asleep and works like a charm.

@Mrs. Jacks: I gave him a deadline of 3 pm. And he fell asleep at 255. I hadn't checked on Him in awhile and he just did fall asleep but his room stinks! I guess he will just have a diaper rash bc I'm not waking him up!

@winniebee: are we twins? Exact same scenario occurring right now. I didn't know this was a thing... My LO won't nap after her 5 minute car nap and is doing the tired cry but will.not.sleep.

@winniebee: thanks! I tried nursing her but the second I laid her down she woke up again, so I'm calling this nap and we are going to the park instead. Ugh! Hope you have better luck
