Oh gosh, I hope things don't get worse!

I avoid even reading those comments... I swear people stalk them just looking to argue.

It is a scary day. We live very far from there but work in a military town. It's going to be a high security day for sure.

@bluestriped bee: again, it's DC lingo. If you aren't from the area, you may not know it.

@bluestriped bee: news orgs are generally supposed to say "state" if it's wash state per Associated Press style, so DC is usually a safe assumption if they don't. Of course, that's if they follow the rules!

So scary.

And yeah, just ignore comments in general. Friend wrote an article on a news website about her kid almost dying from a peanut allergy and people said stuff like "allergies are natural selection".. so awful.

This,was 3mi from my offfice and i work for a large federal agency. It was pretty scary, but what was worse was downtown dc people were acting like nothing was going on and business as usual.

@thismustbetheplace: yeah commenting on news sites is a no-no because there are so many trolls on there that just sit there all day posting vicious comments all day long

I feel sad for the families that lost loved ones, I have a friend in a naval base in that area not sure if its the same one. I pray he is okay

@JoJoGirl: no, they closed the bridge so it was more of a theyd have to swim to get here kind of thing. But I work across street from white house so we were nervous as to what was going on. Honestly, I felt it was just another day in,the rat race was how people were acting. I still went to my lunchtime yoga class too, but i did have the news up all day following along.

@JoJoGirl: Exactly. I also interned at the DA's. Office in the SVU unit for 2yrs so i totally am more desensitized to a lot of stuff. But you would think in nations capital people would be more sensitive.
