When you go on road trips, what are your favorite car snacks for your lo?
So far we are thinking:
Pouches
Raisins/dried cranberries
Peanut butter sandwiches
Pretzels/Goldfish
Apples

D LOVES the Ella's Kitchen Nibbly Finger bars. They're nice because they are relatively mess-free. He also likes the Plum Organics Fruit Shredz.

Anything that can be easily cleaned up. Mostly dried snacks. Nothing sticky and can spill. When my boys were younger I used to use the Munchie Mug. It was big and was a lot less messy unless they purposely pulled open the cloth flaps which they never did.

We do Cheerios, and fruit that's not too messy, like grapes. I also like the Nibbly Fingers and Toddler Cookies from Ella's Kitchen. I've done pouches before and I regret it every time because invariably LO squeezes too hard and it gets all over.

@Mamaof2: Us too! I actually forgot all about them until I brought it up earlier. Haha! I'm pretty sure my boys will still use them if I put snacks in there. Heehee! We might be doing some day trips this next week so might break them out again.

We're in the middle of a two week road trip vacay, and we packed:
Homemade banana bread
Fruit snacks
Grapes
String cheese
Nuts
Puffs
Apple sauce
Goldfish
Beef jerky
Digestives cookies
Mum mums
Cheerios
Freeze dried strawberries
Nibbly Fingers
sippy cups/water bottles
(Some of these were clearly for the grownups or baby/toddler specifically, but there was a lot of overlap)

@rattles: do you have a good recipe for banana bread?

The Squeasy Snacker pouches are amazing for doing smoothies in the car. Granted, they still can make a mess, but so much less accidental applesauce everywhere. We skips the applesauce pouches and just pour applesauce straight into the squeasy. http://amzn.com/B00LBG2PUA

Yogurt melts are a nice, mess-free treat! My 2.5 year old loves them more than cookies etc. and they're easy to pack.
