K'tan. LO was 6lb 7oz. I started using it right away, but she fit in it better once she reached 8lbs. I still liked to put my hand on the back of her neck for support (or you can use the extra sash).

@grizz: any brand recommendations in particular? I'm 4'10 if that helps...

The Ergo with infant insert was perfect for us! Though I've got a feeling the minimum weight requirement was 7lbs.

@Sunshine710: How much are you wanting to spend? And how long do you want it to last you? I had a Maya when DS was tiny. Super comfy, and very budget friendly, but it wasn't a great carrier once he hit 5-ish months. We switched to wrapping at that point. Sakura Bloom ring slings are a little more expensive, but they have more longevity than the Maya. Sleeping Baby Productions is also great. My favorite ring slings are wrap conversion ring slings, and one of those will last you into toddlerhood. They cost about the same as a Sakura Bloom sling

We used the moby even though she was smaller than the weight limit, love it!

You would probably need a size small, no matter what you pick, but if you find one you like and its a bigger size, you can just flip the extra tail length around the rings.

We had a Moby (8 lb weight limit) and an Ergo with insert (7 lb weight limit). LO was born at 6 lbs, 2 oz. We just used the stroller until he hit 7 lbs, then we used the Ergo. I could never really figure out the Moby.
LO grew fast, so we were able to use the carriers by two weeks.

C was born at 8 pounds, but we started using the moby at about 2 weeks. I did put one hand behind her head since she didn't want it tucked it but it was the best way to get her to sleep for a few months. I started using the beco carrier around 4 months I think.
Tempted to get one of the less expensive ring slings that @grizz: mentioned when number two comes along.
