I like Gemma a lot, it's one of my favorites. But I'd be confused if I met someone named Zara whose nickname was Zizi. Zara's already a short, two syllable name starting with Z.

My grandmother was named Adelaide, there were a few others back in our family tree as well. It is one of our top 2 girl names.

@Mrs. Pen: Always the full name for my grandmother. I love the nickname Addie but that is why DH isn't a big fan because there are so many little girls with that name now (Addison etc.)

@Bluemasonjar: @HTownMom: I agree Addie is super cute, but like your DH @bluemasonjar, that's my hesitancy too. There are so many Adelyns/Addison's/etc that there are a lot of Addie's out there. But it's an adorable nn.

Love Eva and Addie, I know little girls with those names and they're awesomeittle girls so I might be biased in my love.
Zizi to me though means weiner, not sure if that's a common thought though

I like them all! I voted for Adelaide because you could go with the super awesome nickname Lady! One of my friends has an Adelaide and I'm trying to make Lady happen, but it's not working, haha. Maybe I can convince people on the Internet to go for it? Also, Adelaide is awesome because of the Ben Folds song!

I've loved Adelaide since I did Guys and Dolls in High School but I also love Evangeline. I think Evangeline is my #1 by a hair...though I'd prefer Evie to Eva as a nn.

@ILoveLettie: Evie was actually my great-grandmothers nickname (for Evelyn). So I like it, but I wouldn't use it for that reason.

I like Adelaide, but I'm biased because it's similar to my DD's name (which was actually mentioned as a nickname for it earlier in the thread
