I have been using melaleuca and I LOVE their products, but it's getting too expensive, they require a minimum monthly order to be a "member". I can't keep up with it, it's usually $80-$90/mo!
But I still want to use green products, especially now that I have a baby.
what are your favorite brands? I remember buying Seventh Generation back in the day and hated how it smelled.

I use Method for the kitchen and bathroom. It works well, plus the smell of it isn't bad at all. Although, I do admit to using the nasty bleach stuff for the shower tiles. No steam cleaner or natural detergent gets the gout as clean as I like.

I swear by vinegar and baking soda. Those two ingredients can cover most cleaning jobs!
For cleaning floors and windows I'll sometimes break out the ammonia, and for glass/tile I make my own modification of Alvin Corn glass cleaner (http://www.crunchybetty.com/battle-of-the-homemade-glass-cleaners).
I found that the amount of corn starch in the original recipe invariably clogs spray bottles, so I dropped the corn starch down to 1tsp and added some essential oils to slightly improve the smell.

I like Mrs. Meyers products, especially the lemon verbena stuff! I like some Method products too. My absolute favorite is the Milk & mallo baby stuff...the dryer sheets smell like cotton candy!

My parents used to buy Melaleuca products all the time when I was younger. I LOVED their stuff, but my parents stopped buying it for some reason (maybe it's too pricey like you said) so I thought Melaleuca no longer existed! I'll have to look them up again!

I use Method for the kitchen and bathroom counters. I use Babyganics for everything else, I love their floor cleaner.

I'm not super strict about being green, but when it comes to cleaning sprays and stuff like that I try to stay as natural as possible since we have a kid AND two small dogs who lick surfaces on a regular basis and then throw up. Haha. I like method products as well. They smell great and the packaging is cute to boot. I'm such a sucker for that stuff.

I use vinegar, lemon, and baking soda to clean almost everything. DH hates the smell, but I want to stay green for liv surfaces. For her highchair and bottles/pump parts, etc, I use Dapple products
