Peanut butter blossoms are a classic but I made Orange Rosemary cookies last year and they were fantastic!

I'm a fan of just regular rolled/cut out sugar cookies with some fun icing. Specifically these:

I love Polish kolaczki...they are so flaky and delicious and reminiscent of jelly thumbprints. Yum.

@lovehoneybee: Ooo! I've been on the search for the best rolled sugar cookie for years. I keep making ones that are just eh. I'll have to try this!

@knittylady: They're pretty great. I didn't really do anything differently except roll them out on powdered sugar instead of flour. I let the dough hang out in the fridge overnight and took it out 15 or so minutes before I wanted to roll it out.

Sugar cookies were always my favourite. Someone needs to figure out how to make gluten free ones that actually taste good (and are soft-ish)
I don't much look forward to Christmas baked goods anymore
