Like the title says - what's your favorite pasta dish recipe to bring to a potluck BBQ? Links to the recipe appreciated! Ideally something fairly easy to put together and without complicated ingredients. Thanks!

Super easy, no real recipe. Just chop up your favorite veggies, add some beans and tri-color pasta. Toss with Italian dressing. I like shredded carrots, red onion, broccoli, string beans and cannelini beans.

Orzo or rotini pasta, chopped chunks of mozzarella cheese, chopped basil leaves, and halved tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Another is tortellini tossed with chunks of provolone, olives, chopped artichoke hearts or sundried tomatoes, and chunks of salami in Italian dressing.

Hot or cold? I like to make home made mac and cheese with BBQ.

@serenity207: do you mean bbq (like smoked meats and bbq sauce?) or just a cook out. Up north they say BBQ for a cook out and in that case Id bring a cold pasta salad like @fancyfunction: said. If you mean BBQ like a southern BBQ then mac and cheese would be good.

Penne, chopped carrots, black beans, corn, sweet Vidalia dressing, fresh cracked pepper.
Cheese tortellini, pesto, cherry tomatoes, mini pepperoni, almonds, black olives.
They both sound a little strange but are delicious!

@Travellingbee - it's a cookout, as in wings and ribs and such! I agree that pasta salad would probably work better in that case.
@MrsBee - that looks delicious and I'm a huge fan of pesto. There are a couple of kids with nut allergies though so I decided against making my pesto just in case. Thanks for the link though!
