I have a potluck brunch tomorrow and am starting to have second thoughts about the dish I was planning to bring. What's your favorite potluck recipe? Would love to hear some new ideas!

For a casual summer BBQ I really like bringing a triple bean bake with bacon! Most people bring pasta salads or potato salads, which I LOVE, but the beans are something a little bit different.
Have fun @ your potlock What are you thinking of making?

I like to bring Baked Beans Ole: http://www.picnicrecipes.net/PicnicRecipes/BakedBeansOle.htm
That link isn't quite the recipe I use (the onions are different, as are the tortillas and I like to add garbanzo beans and kidney beans too).

Thanks! I was thinking about making chicken wings. I really didn't want to do deep frying in the morning.

I've been bugging her for the recipe, but my MIL makes the most incredibly slow-cooker 5 baked beans with ground beef and bacon. I usually get asked to bring my sweet potato rolls, so it's never a question...I think I'd have to badger my MIL for her recipe if ever I needed to bring something different!

@Jasmin: those chicken wings will go fast. My mom is known for her 5amchicken because she let's everyone know she got up really early to deep fry. It is a crowd pleaser though.
My grandma loves her baked beans and deviled eggs at potlucks. Mine is always based on what is on sale. Usually i like to bring salads or homemade fruit jumble.

If it's a BBQ, we bring some type of meat for grilling. If it's a breakfast potluck, I make hashbrown casserole. Otherwise, I bring dessert or an appetizer.

For breakfast, cheese danish. Otherwise I try and mix it up. Have a mac n cheese, asian slaw salad, and some appetizers are my fall back.

Party potatoes are a good standby for me. I love baking so I always prefer to make a dessert and typically like to something individual sized so I can taste it first without ruining the look of the dessert.

In the summer I go for desserts, but since it's brunch I would probably do tortilla rollups, little weinies wrapped in bacon sprinkled with brown sugar, or spinach and artichoke dip!
