I just had DD2's first birthday party last weekend and we had a Flamingo theme. It's by far my favorite theme I've ever done, bright and fun. Close second was DD1's 2nd Pumpkin themed birthday with all sorts of yummy fall food! What has been your favorite birthday theme?

DD's bday is at the end of March. We had a March Madness party for her 1st bday. I made her a little bball jersey that said her name and she was #1.

These themes all sound so cute! For my son's first birthday, we did a Fiesta theme and had the food catered from Qdoba. It was fun, and the food was delicious!

I've only done one and it was a children's book theme.
Growing up my mom had these penny whistle party planning books and I used to love going through and looking and the various themes. Ever since I've loved the idea of throwing a boy a ball themed party for his first birthday.

LO will be two next month so I have only done one so far!
We did a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star theme for his first and Disney Cars will be the theme for his second. I love browsing birthday party themes on Pinterest! My favorite thing we have done is surprise inside cakes. I made a peekaboo pound cake for his first birthday, tiger stripes (Daniel Tiger) for his dedication, and we are planning a piñata cake for his upcoming birthday. We will see how long we can keep the surprise cake theme going!!

@Dahlia: mine did! And I actually brought them all to my house, although they're starting to fall apart. I think I have 2 party books and a lunch box books, although I know they have a few others.

We had a Camping theme party for my DS2 for his first birthday. It was so fun. S'mores, campfire and we even had a tent up as a ball pit. Food was easy too. We had giant Hot dogs, salads and trail mix on the tables.
