I joined in 2006, so 8 years ago...right after a break-up. I remember the "excitement" of having new "friends" each day. : )

My facebook says 8, but it's actually been 9. I deleted my first account (back when you had to have a college email address) once they opened it up to everyone and made a new account.

I started 9 years ago as a homework assignment for a college class. It hasn't always been very active, but it's been around that long.

It would have been sooner but I had to wait until they let people who didn't have college email addresses in. I didn't use email in college. I'm that ancient.

10 years. I went to one of the first universities to get access and my high school bff was in Zuckerberg's class at Harvard.
Didn't use it much until 2005 though. -

I joined FB 7 years ago. I joined because I left a special necklace at a guys house. I can't remember if I didn't have his number or wanted to creep on his fb more. So anyways, I joined, messaged him, hung out with him more. Now we're married with a babe.
Maybe if fb hadn't been around I would have just decided not to get my necklace and that would have been that.

About 9 or 10 years. My college didn't join FB until 2005.
Do you remember when it was in-network only? I could only see profiles from other classmates but had to friend-request my friends at other schools!

I am definitely a 10 year member, my college was an early addition after Harvard too. My roomie at the time thought it was sooo weird that I joined.

Their birthday makes me feel old! I joined my soph year of college when it first started and deleted my account a few years later. I started one again in 2008, so total 8 years I think!
Maybe if fb hadn't been around I would have just decided not to get my necklace and that would have been that.
