I'm teeter-tottering on deactivating!

Yes!!! When I move (closer to family) I think I will shut it down.
pineapple / 12053 posts
No. I use it for work and connecting with friends across the country.
bananas / 9118 posts
Nope, fb really doesn't bother me at all. I like it to stay in touch with some people, but if it starts to get drama filled, I de-friend or hide the offenders.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
Yes! All the time. I already haves feed so edited down that I should just do it but I'm so nosy!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@lemondrop: Same here. When I start rolling my eyes at my friends I just hide them (usually family, who are tricky to just un-friend).
I don't post much, but it's a really easy way to share pictures of E with family who live far away, to stay in contact with old HS friends, and to stay informed. I like a lot of news, entertainment, and humor pages, so I have a pretty varied newsfeed.

If I could deactivate my account but still creep on it I would. My MIL shares every.single picture I post and it drives me crazy! I was debating about deleting her or deactivating but both would cause a huge fight haha.
pomelo / 5469 posts
Nope! I love FB for keeping in touch and sharing photos of LO. I've just gotten really picky about what I want to see and hide a lot from my news feed.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
I just hide the dramatic/annoying ones, I love being able keep up. I really get annoyed by all the sick updates though.
coconut / 8079 posts
DH deactivated his this week! I would have no other way to keep in touch with friends who live far away so I keep it, but hide posts from annoying people (or unfriend them!).
bananas / 9227 posts
I was very close to deactivating, but since we live abroad, it's the easiest way to keep in touch with family. I don't post as many pictures, in fact, I only post when DH wants to share a pic and it's usually through IG. But I'm keeping it, even if I'm just on to be on and no longer active.
papaya / 10473 posts
I use it for several swap groups - cloth diapers, babywearing gear, etc and the mom groups I'm in plan meetups with the details on FB, so I'll stay for that
grapefruit / 4089 posts
I deactivated mine about a month ago and I don't regret it I won't completely delete it because there are pictures on there that I still need to grab.
pomelo / 5866 posts
It took me about 3 months of contemplating before I did it a few months ago. I have a few more months of a self imposed hiatus until I decide whether to reactivate.
watermelon / 14206 posts
Yes...but then I feel lile I lose control over my mil sharing info lol.
pear / 1672 posts
I do sometimes, but I am a part of a few Facebook groups that I like and find helpful. That's my main reason for being on Facebook these days.
pomegranate / 3105 posts
Yes - I am currently doing "Facebook Free February" so I've removed my app from my phone and not logging in at all.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
I just hide all the annoying people so it doesn't bother me too much.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Nope. I like seeing what everyone is up to even though I don't personally post anything.
persimmon / 1304 posts
No. I love Facebook! I never understood why people deactivate unless they have an unhealthy addiction to stalking people...haha like their SO's exes, old BFFs, etc.
It has been such a great way to stay in touch with family who are far away.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Nope, I like catching up with friends/family, and its a great way to do marketing for my blog.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Yes, but I can't actually do it! I am thinking about really cleaning up my friends list and only keeping people that I care about and positive people on!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
I keep my friends list small and haven't had any drama on it, so I enjoy having it to stay connected with family that isn't nearby.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
Yes, I've been deactivated for a little over a month and it's so good for my mental state! FB makes it so easy to deactivate, I figured why not.
grapefruit / 4582 posts
all the time. but there are some people who I wish to stay in contact with and its really the best way for me to share photos/stay in touch.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
Honestly I've never even considered it. I'll hide annoying people, but my family and friends are spread out all over so I love being able to keep in touch easily.
coconut / 8861 posts
I hide annoying people too. I also don't post too many pics. I posted one today which is a rarity. Otherwise, I love to share funny stuff on my feed.
cherry / 149 posts
No, I have it set to where I don't see ads or annoying people or games, and almost everyone I have in my news feed are people I like. It's the only way I stay in touch with most of my friends since I'm not a talking on the phone person.
honeydew / 7917 posts
I deactivated over 2 years ago and have no regrets. Of course I still browse on DH's account and only check on updates from our mutual friends.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
No, I use it to keep in touch with people back home.
grapefruit / 4823 posts
When it gets super drama, sometimes. I'm a big fan of the hide option
coconut / 8279 posts
How do you hide them?? I've done it before but can't find that option anymore.
I keep in touch with too many distant relatives via Facebook to actually delete it.
pear / 1639 posts
Yes...only because my students told me FB is for old people
But really, I have no desire to deactivate, its a great way to keep in touch!
